Is Balancing the Qi, the key?

Albert Einstein’s famous formula E=mc2 used physics to prove that energy and matter are both manifestations of one force in different stages; Matter is static energy, while energy is matter in motion. The kinetic theory of matter shows that all matter consists of constantly vibrating atoms, and the conservation of mass shows that matter cannot be created nor destroyed. On an atomic level, your body is a sea of energy constantly vibrating at different frequencies; Never created nor destroyed, but always changing forms.

The renowned inventor and energy pioneer Nikola Tesla once said, “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration”. Modern science is starting to confirm Tesla’s beliefs because the World Health Organization has cited over 100 different ailments for which energy-based therapy has proven to be highly effective. Using energy-based therapy, patients experienced substantial relief from their symptoms related to ailments like chronic pain, cold, flu, allergies, addictions, high blood pressure, asthma, ulcers, gastrointestinal disorders, stroke, sciatica, and much more.  Energy-based natural therapy is most commonly Acupuncture, the ancient and powerful technique that has helped millions of people around the world heal and continues to do so. Many regular people and even some celebrities swear by the healing power of Acupuncture. Most people don’t know that Acupuncture and other Acu-Therapies are the practice of manipulating energy flow within the body. The belief behind Acu-Therapies claim that our bodies contain a flow of energy that needs to be circulated. The Chinese refer to this energy as ‘Qi’ (pronounced ‘chee’). Qi is conceptualized as the energy force that pulses through all life. The energy of Qi is represented in Japanese culture as “Ki”, Guru’s of India call it “Prana” and some Polynesian cultures call it “Mana”. The Chinese believe Qi needs to circulate through the body freely for one to maintain peak physical and mental health.

Qi circulates through the body via the meridian lines (1), and if energy flow slows down in one or more of the meridian lines, or there’s a blockage in our meridian system, the body enters a state of imbalance. If the meridian lines go untreated, the body is more susceptible to pain, illness, and disease. Chinese medicine restores the natural flow of energy with the stimulation of specific pressure points (also known as Acupoints). Acupoints are like little whirlpools of energy that are dotted along your meridian lines. Through the stimulation of specific Acupoints, a burst of energy restores the circulation of a blocked meridian line, creating harmony in the body and healing the sick. Many studies have proven the significance of balancing the meridian system, one of the most popular studies on this subject was conducted by French Physicians, Jean Claude Darras MD and Professor Pierre de Vernejoul. They injected the isotope tracer Te99 into the Acupoints of volunteer patients and then monitored the tracers movements using a gamma imaging camera. The tracers traveled along the meridian lines within minutes after injection. To challenge their findings, they injected non-meridian points and found that the tracers simply pooled up and remained in the same spot. Interestingly, tracers flowing through diseased parts of the body slowed down dramatically or stopped, compared to a fast flow around healthy parts of the meridian system.

Some skeptics dismiss Acupuncture citing the placebo effect, where 30% of people were shown to heal in experiments when given a sugar pill instead of real medicine. However, the placebo effect has been proven irrelevant in Acupuncture because all kinds of animals (who can’t comprehend suggestion) respond incredibly well to the healing properties of Acupoint therapy. Acupuncture isn’t the only means of balancing energy, electricity also an effective way to stimulate Qi within the meridian system. Some practitioners combine electricity with Acupuncture to achieve faster and longer lasting relief. Finger pressure can even be utilized for balancing energies, this practice is known as Acupressure. Acupressure actually pre-dates Acupuncture and is shown to be equally effective. Bio-acoustics (vibrating energy) is another highly effective means for unblocking a congested meridian system.

Using the science of entrainment (2), resonant frequencies can be used to balance the meridian system back to its natural state. The influence of entrainment permeates through many aspects of observable reality: Heart rates and brain waves entraining to hectic or quiet environments, fireflies blinking together at the same time, the resetting of the body’s internal clock after a long plane flight, the list goes on. Being in a state of synergy with Qi is being in a state of synergy with the frequency of the universe.

Like I mentioned earlier, the kinetic theory of matter shows how all matter is comprised of constantly vibrating atoms; Since any sort of frequency or sound is a manipulation of vibration, it wouldn’t be ridiculous to assume that frequency would have a significant effect on the mind and body. Modern medicine uses sound frequencies for many different applications, the most well known being ultrasound technology. The ultrasound is an acoustic tool that emits a sound frequency higher than human hearing capabilities (20,000 Hz +). Ultrasound frequencies are most commonly used as a non-invasive means of monitoring fetal development and non-invasive surgery. New uses of ultrasound are based around specialized non-invasive surgery where highly focused ultrasound frequencies are used to break down and (eventually eradicate) tumors. High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is another relatively new medical breakthrough that has been used to destroy prostate cancer cells. Modern medicine can also use pulsed infrasonic sound waves to break up kidney stones.

As far as Acu-Therapies go: some therapists prefer finger pressure, some prefer needles, some push it further with electrified needles, some use thermal (heat) energy, and some therapists use bio-acoustics (vibrating energy). However, the newest and most effective form of Acu-Therapy is the combination of Acupressure and bio-acoustics, called Acu-Entrainment. Acu-Entrainment is as equally effective as Electro-Acupuncture is, but because there’s no dealing with electric needles, the treatment is way faster and way less intense. The domineering power of energy and frequency cannot go unnoticed. With the manipulation and balancing of Qi, everyone has the ability to achieve a sound state of mind, body, and spirit.

  1. Meridian lines- lines throughout the body in which Qi travels through. The meridian lines need to be able to flow freely because a blockage of energy causes an imbalance in the energy.
  2. Entrainment- a synchronization of two or more rhythmic cycles, a well known law in physics and biology. When two objects are entrained with each other they expend less energy, this is why women’s menstrual cycles sometimes sync up.
